What is PICIP VIVE?

The PICIP-VIVE is a Participatory Comprehensive Community Development program that is part of a methodological replica of the PICIP in the police stations of San José Tzal and Dzununcán of the Municipality of Mérida, where a process of community transformation is facilitated through a network of promoters premises for grassroots development. Fostering relationships that weave neighborhood collaboration for the common good. People are thus the main axis and the protagonists that the Program accompanies, in the following areas: institutional strengthening and governance for the common good, comprehensive education and child and youth social inclusion, socioeconomic inclusion, health and community life.

Our goal

The general objective of the VIVE Program is to promote the development of the base for the social prevention of crime and violence, and influence public policy for the common good, for sustainable community development and thus promote the improvement of the quality of life, with a perspective of law, of relational and inclusive gender, therefore, it addresses all the social, economic, cultural, educational, infrastructure and service needs of the police stations, seeking to influence public policies for the common good: a program designed from of the social prioritization of needs, problems, expectations and community resources, the result of the comprehensive and participatory community diagnosis of both police stations.
